About Michael

Michael Culver was raised in Toledo, Ohio where he joined the Toledo Symphony in the 1970's and played percussion. An award from the National Endowment for the Arts brought him to Los Angeles to study and perform Jazz on the Vibra Harp. Involvement in the California music circuit brought him to perform at the Hidden Valley Music Seminar in Carmel and also Harp music on the Monterey Pennisula.

During the Monterey Jazz Festival Michael studied under the renowned Cal Tjader expanding his expertise at the Vibra Harp. While establishing his roots on the Monterey Peninsula Michael traveled to Europe to perform in Vienna and at the prestigious Mozart Festival in Salzburg.

Returning to expand his musical talents in California he played and composed with the Culver-Martin Duo (Cello and Harp).
